Annual Report 2016-17

Good Morning one and all ,We are privileged to stand before you and present our school annual report .

 

In The Month Of February  

 

The month of February witnessed  a team of about 50 upcoming teachers from Wolverhampton University along with their head teachers visited the school and it was a good promotional event for the upcoming school.

   For the promotional aspect a “Healthy Baby Show”, “Art Attack” and scholarship Test “was conducted for the children. The response was good and students were given Scholarships under Sh.S.L.Angra Scholarship Scheme.

In The Month Of March

It was a ‘Big Day’for CIS Nakodar When our Chief Patron , Shri M.Sir ,along with his team visited our premises and planted a tree .”Walk of Hope” commenced from school till Murad Shah ji.

 

Orientation was conducted in the month of April. It was a useful day which gave a chance to the parents to get to know the educational system of Learning Wings before the classes started. 7th of April 2016, the Grand Opening was done by seeking blessings of Almighty and offering our prayers for long-term success of school as well as students.

In the Month of April

  • Baisakhi celebrations were done with exhibition of joy and gaiety which was followed by Talent Hunt where students revealed their talents and skills.
  • House Meeting was conducted by our respective house In-charges and entrusted Cambridgians with their duties towards their houses.
  •  “We have only one earth, so we have to take care of her”.

Keeping this as an inspiration, Students expressed their profound love for Mother Nature by making posters and collages and exhibited their artistic skills too.

  •  To give the students a vision of taking right decisions and to enlighten them regarding democratic setup of our country elections were organized in the school on 27th of April Last year.
  • To honour the achievements and contributions of all the workers of the nation ’Labour Day ‘was celebrated with cheerfulness.
  •  In the Month of May
  • ‘A mother is not a person to lean on, but a person to make leaning unnecessary’.

 Mother’s Day gave an opportunity to students to express their love and affection towards their mothers by making greeting cards.

  • “Reading gives us a place to go when we have to stay where we are”. To inculcate the habit of reading amongst the students a pleasure giving reading activity was done on 18th of May.
  • Summer Camp helps the children to build self-confidence and self- esteem by removing the stress of academic competitions. Summer camp was organized in which children did smokeless cooking, flower making and also saw  movies . Kids relaxed, laughed and spent carefree days.
  • Investiture ceremony is a memorable day, a proud moment for student council to stand as leaders. Investiture ceremony was organized where we entrusted faith and hope in our first student council. Respected Chief Guest and Principal Madam led them to oath taking ceremony and enabled the leaders to realize their responsibilities and to be humane. SDM Nakodar was the chief guest of the occassion.

 

In the Month of July

  • ‘Poetry is language at its most distilled and most powerful mode’. Children showed their poetic skills in poem recitation competition. They added messages and props which made it look more pleasing and graceful.
  • ‘Elocution is the art of learning how to speak correctly giving proper stress and intonation’. Elocution competition was held for senior to give them a good opportunity to combat with the biggest fear factor i.e. stage factor.

In the Month of August

  • “Friendship isn’t a big thing; it’s about a million little things”. Children enthusiastically participated in Friendship Day celebrations to value their pals by writing about them and sharing their meals together. It developed the feeling of Fraternity amongst them.
  •  To cherish the memories of freedom fighters Independence Day was celebrated. National Flag was hoisted by Principal Madam and National Anthem was sung in chorus. Everybody took an oath to serve the country which spread the feeling of patriotism.
  • “There is no other love like the love for a brother.” The Bond of love was celebrated with a great zeal. Children made beautiful and colorful attractive Rakhis.
  • “The super soul, the supreme personality of Godhead, is the source of light”. ‘Janam Ashtmi’ the birthday of Lord Krishna was celebrated by Loddoo Gopals and Radhikas of our school with great devotion towards the deities.
  • To enhance the vocabulary knowledge and cognitive skills of students spell Bee competition was conducted for students.

In the month of September

 A teacher affects eternity, he can never tell where his influence stops’. Children organised a function to show their gratitude and appreciated the hard work of their teachers. Children planned various games for the teachers. The later were overwhelmed by the efforts of their kids. The Management  honoured  the staff by providing Lunch and taking them out for a Movie.

In the Month of October

Along with Dusshera celebration in the month of October, a world wild life day was celebrated to create awareness amongs +  students to conserve the wildlife. It’s a generation of SMS and chat on social medias like Facebook ,twitter,instagram and many other. But to recall the good old memories, a National Post Day was celebrated when 70% of the students saw the Post office, Post card and Inland letters for the first time.

Children tend to ignore basic hygiene when they are hungry. A Global Hand Washing Day raised an alarm & taught them the right ways and means of hand Washing.

Model United Nations Conference was conducted as a celebration of UN Day for Grades V-VII.

How could we forget the festival of hight –Diwali & the way our school made it special for us.

 

In the Month of November

Hum bhi Agar Bacchhe Hote,Naam Hamara hota……

Remember ,how special we were made to feel on children’s Day when our teachers had put up an exhibition for us and we were treated at Hotel Radisson ,Jalandhar That was indeed a “wow” experience .I remember ,we celebrated a Mathematics week too.

 

In the Month of December

A health check up camp was conducted for a week for which the doctors from PIMS Jalandhar,Contributed in terms of seminars on healthy food ,hygiene and physical check up of students.

An interhouses Carol singing Competition was Conducted as a part of Christmas celebration and a school “Fete” was orgnaised for charity. The gaiety and enthusiasm of Parents as well as students was a rememberable one,world computer Literacy Day,an International Engery Day were also celebrated before we had a boring winter break.

In the Month of January

Fully rejuvenated after the winter break ,we had a ‘Questa’ as a GK quiz and celebrated Lohri at school Campus where in the little ones danced at the dhol beats. Republic day was celebrated and a Tribute was paid to Netaji Subhash Chandra Boss.

 

In The Month of February

Commenced with celebration of world peace and understanding day. Spell –a- thon was conducted and we could not believe that session had come to an end. It was time to pay back our school in terms of our scholastic as well as co scholastic grades and we did that whole heartedly and we are proud to present before you the achievers in Various categories.
